Clear expectations create a better coaching experience
These guidelines are here to make the booking and coaching process clear for everyone. Before beginning coaching, families and clients are given the relevant programme information so they can make an informed decision about how they would like to proceed.
Initial Consultations
Initial Consultations are paid appointments and are confirmed through the booking process. The consultation gives us an opportunity to understand what support is being sought, explain the coaching approach and consider whether Nurture & Bloom is the right fit.
Booking a consultation does not automatically guarantee acceptance into a coaching programme. If coaching falls outside Nurture & Bloom's scope of practice, an alternative form of support or referral may be recommended.
Programme Recommendations
Kids Life Coaching follows a structured pathway, but recommendations are personalised according to the child's needs, readiness, assessment findings and family circumstances.
Families may choose how they would like to proceed with the recommended coaching pathway. Programme structure, session arrangements and investment are discussed privately before enrolment.
Payment & Confirmation
Payment arrangements are confirmed before coaching begins. Where advance payment is required, the booking or programme place is confirmed once the agreed payment requirements have been completed.
Any additional assessment, resource or third-party costs will be explained before they are incurred.
Rescheduling a Session
If you need to change an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Sessions may be rescheduled subject to availability. Repeated rescheduling may affect the continuity of a coaching programme and may require the schedule to be reviewed.
Late Cancellations & Missed Sessions
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be treated as used sessions and may not be refundable or transferable.
Genuine emergencies will always be considered with understanding and at Nurture & Bloom's discretion.
For Initial Consultations, consultation bookings are non-refundable in the event of a no-show.
Late Arrivals
If a client joins late, the session will usually still finish at the scheduled time so that subsequent appointments are not affected.
If the coach needs to delay or reschedule a session, the full session time will be provided or another suitable arrangement will be made.
Coaching Programmes
Consistency supports meaningful coaching work. Families are encouraged to attend sessions as scheduled and practise agreed tools between sessions where appropriate.
The coaching pathway is structured but flexible. Recommendations may change if the child's needs, readiness or circumstances change during the programme.
Nurture & Bloom may recommend pausing or ending coaching if continuing is no longer considered appropriate, beneficial or within the coach's professional scope.
Refunds
Fees for consultations, assessments or sessions that have already taken place are non-refundable.
Where a programme has been paid for in advance and circumstances change before all sessions have been completed, any request relating to unused sessions will be considered according to the individual circumstances and the terms agreed at enrolment.
Any non-refundable third-party assessment, platform or processing costs cannot normally be refunded once incurred.
Online Sessions
Clients are responsible for joining from a suitable private space with a stable internet connection wherever possible.
For children, any age-appropriate parent or caregiver arrangements required for online coaching will be discussed before sessions begin.
You can read our Safeguarding & Child Protection approach for how online coaching is kept safe.
Confidentiality & Safeguarding
Nurture & Bloom respects client privacy and the trust created within the coaching relationship. Confidentiality has limits where there are serious concerns about a child's or another person's safety or wellbeing.
More detail is available on our Safeguarding & Child Protection page, and in our Frequently Asked Questions.
Coaching Is Not Therapy
Nurture & Bloom provides coaching and wellbeing support. Coaching does not replace psychological therapy, counselling, psychiatric care, medical treatment or other regulated clinical services.
Where needs fall outside the coaching scope, families may be encouraged to seek support from an appropriately qualified professional.
Keeping These Guidelines Current
Nurture & Bloom may update these guidelines as services and systems develop. The terms applicable to a specific programme will also be confirmed with the client or parent where relevant.
