A Duʿā for Sufficiency and Trust

With Him, there is always enough.

Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa Huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul ‘Arshil ‘Azheem

Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god worthy of worship except Him. In Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.

1. Hasbiyallahu

Meaning: Allah is sufficient for me.

A reminder that we have enough in Allah, whatever the situation.

2. La ilaha illa Huwa

Meaning: There is no god worthy of worship except Him.

A declaration of our faith and complete dependence on Him alone.

3. ‘Alayhi tawakkaltu

Meaning: In Him I put my trust.

A choice to rely on Him, knowing He is the best of planners.

4. Wa Huwa Rabbul ‘Arshil ‘Azheem

Meaning: And He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.

A recognition of His greatness, power and perfect control over everything.

A Path for Our Hearts

Turning to Allah

We start by remembering that Allah is sufficient for us.

Having sincere faith

We affirm that there is no god worthy of worship except Him alone.

Placing our trust in Him

We choose to rely on Him in every situation.

Living with awareness of His greatness

We remember that He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne, in perfect control.

And through this, we find peace, strength and contentment.
