Not Every Thought Needs to Be Spoken

Sometimes we feel the urge to correct someone, offer our opinion, or have the last word. But wisdom also lies in knowing when to speak and when to remain silent.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.

A beautiful reminder that our words carry responsibility.

Before speaking, perhaps we can ask ourselves: Is what I’m about to say truthful, beneficial, and necessary?

May Allah grant us wisdom in our speech and restraint when silence is better. Ameen.
